Nissan has had a long-term love affair with the Star Wars franchise. When the 2016 Film Star Wars: Rouge One came out Nissan jumped on it with its coincidently similarly named Nissan Rogue. Thus, Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition was born.
These special editions were followed up by the Rogue X-Wing Concept which to be fair was more of a show piece than a production car.
Now Nissan is at it again with the Millennium Falcon-inspired Rogue. This special edition is being released ahead of the upcoming premier, on the 25th May, of A Star Wars Story.
“As the third instalment of our own trilogy of collaborations with Lucasfilm, we raised the bar delivering our best custom show vehicle yet,” said Jeremy Tucker, Nissan’s vice president of marketing communications and media.
“We started with the best-selling Nissan Rogue and worked with the talented concept designers at Lucasfilm and ILM. Then we turned to the experts at Vehicle Effects bring it to life. The result is hands-down the most complete and thrilling vehicle we’ve ever done,” he added.
This limited-edition car does not just have a fancy wrap, but the interior of the car has some millennium falcon inspired additions such as additional light buttons, sound effects and customised seats completing the whole package.
So, if you have the time and inclination you can hit hyperdrive and whoosh you are hit will 1,500 watts of intergalactic sound effects.
